Rioja tweaked its presence at Taste of Dublin 2018 this weekend. It dropped its hot tapas (from last year) and focused more on serving freshly shaved Iberico ham, cheese and olives at a wine bar aka The Rioja Wine Terrace.  It was a great success and I was privileged to be invited to serve up informal masterclasses on the region and its wines. Loved every minute of it! Each of the wines on show was exceptional – crisp unaged to barrel fermented whites, flavour-filled dry rosé’s, young berry-filled reds to Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reservas!! 

Rioja continues to impress and will continue to promote itself across Ireland with quite a few events over the next few seasons. More photos later.
