I paid a visit to the Wicklow Way Wines this week in the lovely Newtownmountkennedy, Co Wicklow. This is where the three Móinéir labels – Strawberry, Blackcurrant and Raspberry Wines are fermented, fashioned and produced for sale. It’s a winery for some of the finest soft fruit grown in Ireland.

My visit was to record a chat with founders Pamela Walsh and Brett Stephenson for my new podcast – Kevin Ecock’s WinePod. I tasted each of the wines. Flamboyant Strawberry, Rich and structured Blackberry and the impressively Expressive Raspberry.

These are handmade artisanal wines expertly made to Origin Green standards.
