I first met Sebastian Labbé when he was head winemaker at the brilliant Viña Carmen, part of the Santa Rita Estates in Chile. In that role he was a frequent visitor to Ireland. The tastings he hosted were fascinating lectures on how to make excellent wine from excellent vineyards. He was always looking forward.
Today Sebastian is the head winemaker for the Santa Rita Estates Ultra Premium Wines. His quest for seeking the very best from the land continues through a detailed series of innovative techniques and ideas. All are founded on an absolute adherance to the Santa Rita Estates’ code of Sustainability**.
