Janet Wang knows just about everything that needs to be known about Chinese Wine. She wrote the book! The Chinese Wine Renaissance.
Besides that and her (very) lengthy list of notable achievements Janet knows how to deliver a good wine tasting – whether you have the wine or not!
To celebrate the Chinese New Year (the Year of the Ox begins this Friday the 12th) The Ireland China Science and Technology Association (ICSATA) has organised a webinar with Janet. It promises to be excellent.
The Virtual Tasting will be held this Saturday the 13th of Feb. at 8pm. It will feature two of the ‘Great Wall’ wines – a Cabernet Sauvignon and a white wine made from the Longyan (Devils Eye) grape. Both are on sale at the Asia Market in Dublin.
Dublin City Council has been fabulous in celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year for many years now. Follow the 2021 events (9th Feb to the 14th) at dublinlunarnewyear.ie. This will also guide you to a YouTube live stream on Saturday to this tasting event.

The ‘Great Wall‘ wines are produced from vineyards in the excellent wine growing region of Shandong on the North Eastern coast of China.

ICSATA supports enterprises and institutes for their international training, exhibition, academic exchange, technology transfer, business visits & match-making events, and also assist their market entry, investment, trade and other business activities between Ireland and China.
