Good to see two new and inexpensive wines from Germany in Dunnes Stores. We don’t see enough from Germany, a country that brings us some of the finest white wines in the world.

Both wines are from the Reh Kendermann stable of wines and I have to admit they really do look the part!
The labels are intended to remind us that soils and environment matter to the growth and developemnt of grape vines. This in turn influences their grapes.
Whether slate, loess or limestone – our Terroir wines reflect the characteristics of the soil type in the aromatic profile found in the glass
Reh Kendermann
Kalkstein Sauvignon Blanc : limestone soils: €11.50. Fruit driven, dry and food friendly wine.
Schiefer Steillage Riesling : Slate soils: €11.00. Serve well chilled to tone the residual sugar which balances well with a spine of fine acidity. Good wine.
